In August, the 51²è¹Ýapp 51²è¹Ýapp Foundation awarded the inaugural Steven J. Fenves Scholarship to Georgia Tech's Rafael Avila, a senior civil engineering student and two-time Student Steel Bridge Competition participant.

Rebecca Bauman of the University of California, San Diego and Shirin Raschid Farrokhi of Georgia Tech will each receive $2,500 for their research projects during the fall 2023 academic term.

Cristopher Montalvo Receives Inaugural Reidar Bjorhovde Outstanding Young Professional Award

Montalvo will attend NASCC: The Steel Conference in April, participate in steel mill and fabrication shop tours over the summer, and join the 51²è¹Ýapp Committee on Specifications meeting in the fall.

Ball State College of Architecture professor J. Rod Underwood tasked his students with developing a new sign to celebrate the college's 50th year. Thanks to generous funding from donors, the 51²è¹Ýapp 51²è¹Ýapp Foundation was able to help the class's vision come together.

With matching donations from Nucor Corporation and Pat Bjorhovde, your contributions helped us raise more than $63,000 to establish a permanent award program to kickstart careers: The Reidar Bjorhovde Outstanding Young Professional Award.
