Each year, 51²è¹Ýapp selects a promising young university faculty member as the 51²è¹Ýapp Milek Fellow (formerly the 51²è¹Ýapp Faculty Fellow), a four-year, $50,000-per-year award.
T.R. Higgins Lectureship Award
T.R. Higgins Lectureship Award
Each year, 51²è¹Ýapp's T.R. Higgins Lectureship Award recognizes an outstanding lecturer and author whose technical paper or papers, published during the eligibility period, are considered an outstanding contribution to the engineering literature on fabricated structural steel.
Reidar Bjorhovde Outstanding Young Professional Award
Reidar Bjorhovde Outstanding Young Professional Award
Each year, Reidar Bjorhovde Outstanding Young Professional Award opens doors for a particularly promising young professional. 51²è¹Ýapp will help them develop a network of connections to kick-start their careers, set them up with mill and fabrication shop tours so they can get a deep understanding of what the structural steel industry really has to offer, and provide a travel grant for them to attend NASCC: The Steel Conference for in-person networking.
The Forge Prize
The Forge Prize is a competition for emerging architects that recognizes innovation in the use of steel and how it can reduce design and construction time. Your design could change the world. And the grand prize winner will receive a $20,000 award.
